What we are especially proud of is that lots of visitors have already spent whole months in our Hotel Café am Park. This is because our accomodation is perfectly adapted to the different needs of our guests. Colleagues from the same firm can share a spacious apartment, if they wish so. Mechanics regularly book a little kitchen in addition to their single rooms. Visiting students live in our lower-priced rooms. Weekend tourists often book family and shared rooms.
Once, a female opera singer performing at the Staatstheater Braunschweig lived in the hotel annex during a whole year – bringing along her grand piano. Why do we have so many regular guests? Because we will always find a solution for you!
Close to the city, next to the park
Whether you are on a business trip in Brunswick or as a tourist – starting from Hotel Café am Park you have easy access to the main destinations in town and its surroundings. It takes only a few minutes to the city centre by public transport. The main station is a ten-minute-walk away. You can also take the tram starting close to the hotel.
Around the hotel you will also find numerous leisure facilities: there are an outdoor swimming pool in the Bürgerpark, the Volkswagenhalle with its many top events, and the BTHC tennis courts, where every year in June world class players meet for an ATP tournament.
Close by, there are a boat hire, the beach bar Oker Cabana and the Stadthalle. Right behind our house, the Bürgerpark with century -old trees, ponds and romantic promenades along the river Oker. For children we have a swing and sandpit in the garden. A bigger playground is in the park nearby.
Breakfast, Ice Cream, Cakes
Of course, if you really insist on it, you can start the day with a philosopher’s breakfast (black coffee and a cigarette). However, you would miss out quite a bit, because at our rich breakfast buffet you will have difficulty choosing: we offer variations of cheese and cold meat, fruit baskets, jars full of jam and spreads as well as eggs, yoghurt and curd cheese, cereals, milk and juices.
Have your choice and enjoy the early hours of the day in our dining room, having a cup of coffee or tea and a view to the trees outside. In the afternoon we serve coffee, ice cream and freshly-baked tarts and cakes in the garden. For hungry guests, we always have also a range of soups on offer.
Service around the clock
We would like you to feel like at home in our hotel. Landlady Sonja Hahne not only worked many years in top hotels in Hamburg, Munich and Oberstdorf she also sees herself as a hostess by conviction: A tea at late hours? A loose shirt button, that urgently needs sewing before the meeting? With deeds and ideas, Ms. Hahne and her team help their guests at any time. In case of any urgency, you can reach Ms. Hahne by day and night, as she lives in the annex next to the main building.
Family partys and other opportunities
If you intend to organize a party, please have a closer look at our hotel. Are you looking for rooms to celebrate a baptism or a confirmation? Are you going to have guests for a birthday brunch, company anniversary or class reunion? Depending on the number of your guests or the size of your group, we keep our piano room at your disposal or the dining area with a bar and garden terrace.
If you want your guests to have the opportunity to move around, you can also book the whole ground floor and use the lobby with the flight of winding stairs and the lounge. Catering will be arranged individually.
